Making democracy work in the former Soviet Union: Canada's foreign economic relations. (Brian Mulroney's speech delivered at Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, Maryland, May 21, 1992)

Canada is supporting democracy in the former Soviet Union by developing an economic partnership through aid, credits and trade-support measures. In turn, the former Soviet republics should cooperate with worldwide efforts to reduce nuclear weapons in their territories.
