Getting Outside the Wire

Because we had less provisional security Marines than our predecessors, and because our most significant mission required reinforced security, maintaining the security elements in a security platoon allowed GSMT Company the flexibility it needed to meet its assigned mission. Both decisions are feasible and the correct decision is likely the product of individual circumstances. Because doctrine docs not dictate which form takes place, the decision to integrate or attach the security element requires a close look at personnel and assigned missions before getting outside the wire.
