Educating for Success

The education of those in the librarian profession -- ensuring that they have the knowledge, skill sets and experience needed to perform required duties -- is an issue on which there has never been complete agreement, either inside or outside the academic arena. Special Libraries Association's (SLA) chapters and divisions offer continuing education programs for members, and the association has adopted new technologies to provide learning opportunities for SLA members.
