Zusammenfassung: | Variants of the Pareto Principle, the law of diminishing returns, and Parkinson's Law all offer interpretations of the science of working less and accomplishing more. These maxims attempt to describe the relationship between time, effort, and results with a view to developing a strategy for optimal focus and productivity. In The 4-Hour Workweek: Escape 9-5, Live Anywhere, and Join the New Rich Tim Ferriss promises to help his readers refine their work lives so that to achieve their goals they only need to spend four hours working per week. He advocates for intense focus and the elimination of all distractions, including unproductive relationships and electronic communication in its various forms. He and other productivity evangelists like David Allen, Stephen R. Covey, and Julie Morgenstern, encourage goal-setting, list-making, prioritization, streamlining, and similar approaches to maximizing the return on minimal investment. |
