Zusammenfassung:The trapping efficiency of gaseous ruthenium with a yttria filter has been studied as a function of the temperature, superficial gas velocity and filter depth. The trapping efficiency of ruthenium by the filter was seen to increase with higher trapping temperatures, whereas it decreased with higher superficial gas velocities. The yttria filter was found to offer a stable material in which volatile ruthenium can be effectively trapped because of its incorporation into a highly stable lattice when at temperatures over 900 deg C under air conditions.
