Zusammenfassung:Failure to comply with the hygiene regulations is a criminal offence, as is failing to comply with many of the notices which may be issued as a result. An individual convicted in the magistrates' court of an offence contrary to the regulations is liable to a fine up to /5,000. If the matter proceeds to the crown court then the maximum sentence is two years in prison and/or an unlimited fine.
