Formation of Phases Based on Disilicides of Rhenium and Chromium in the Ternary System Re – Cr – Si during Solid-Phase Reaction

Zusammenfassung: | We have studied the boundaries of the regions of existence of the hypothetical solid solutions (Re^sub 0.97^Cr^sub 0.03^Si^sub 1.98^ - Re^sub 0.78^Cr^sub 0.22^Si^sub 2.01^, Cr^sub 0.99^Re^sub 0.01^Si^sub 2^ - Cr^sub 0.40^Re^sub 0.60^Si^sub 2^) over a broad concentration range at 2-4 mole% intervals. We have established the characteristic features of the formation of solid solutions in this system during solid-phase reaction between powders of the starting components in the temperature range 600-1300°C under vacuum.
