Endoscopic clipping of bleeding ascending colon dieulafoy lesion

A complete bowel prep to clear the colon of retained blood and colonic contents enables the endoscopist to see the characteristic appearance of blood spurting or oozing from a pinpoint mucosal defect or, in the absence of bleeding, a clot without an associated surrounding ulcer.
