Lau Kin Chi is an Associate Professor teaching Cultural Studies at the Lingnan University, Hong Kong. She is co-chair of Asian Regional Exchange for New Alternatives (ARENA), a forum and network of activist scholars in Asia. She has been involved in various global projects, and is member of the Board and International Coordinating Committee of PeaceWomen Across the Globe. She is also Board Member of China Social Services and Development Research Centre (CSD), and former associate director of the James Yen Rural Reconstruction Institute (YIRR).
