Zusammenfassung: | Overview of an integrated treatment programme developed by the Institute of Applied Dermatology (IAD)for patients with lower limb lymphoedema in India. The low-cost IAD treatment protocol, which includes yoga, breathing exercises, stretch compression bandaging, and herbal-based procedures of traditional Indian medicine (Ayurveda), is described, and projects to deliver self-care treatment workshops supported by telemedicine for patients with lymphatic filariasis in remote villages are outlined. 11 references |
