Zusammenfassung:Tabulated and graphical results are given from experiments on the effect of inorganic and organic nutrients on the rate of mineralization of phenol and nitrophenol in surface waters. Inorganic nutrients, arginine, and yeast extract often increased the rate of mineralization in lake water, while glucose reduced the rate . However, arginine did not stimulate mineralization in stream water.
