Change in the defectiveness of pipeline metal upon long-term operation

Zusammenfassung:The metal of pipelines after long-term service (for up to 30 years) is studied. Metallographic analysis of metallurgical defects in the wall metal is performed. Hydrogen-induced lamination arising near these defects due to operation under the action of oil and gas condensate bearing H2S and CO2 is studied. The corrosion rate of the pipe metal is determined as a function of the time of development of corrosion defects.
