Zusammenfassung:The structure and mechanical properties of high-strength shapes from ultrafine-grained aluminum alloys for the aircraft industry are studied. The initial material is commercial alloy 1421 in coarse-crystal state. An ultrafine-grained structure is formed in preforms 40 mm in diameter and 160 mm long by equichannel angular pressing at 370°C with degree of accumulated strain e ≥ 10. Strips with ultrafine-grained structure with a thickness of 2 mm are fabricated by rolling with e = 2.7 at 350°C. The strips are used for making shapes with Π-section under conditions of superplastic deformation.
