Characteristics of aldehydes: concentrations, sources, and exposures for indoor and outdoor residential microenvironments

An indoor/outdoor air field study within residences indicates that aldehydes can be formed through indoor chemical reactions during the summer. Formaldehyde, acetaldehyde and seven other aldehydes were identified in the residential air.
