Zusammenfassung:Stereotomic problems are scale-independent. Treatises on stereotomy or stonecutting manuscripts only give measures when referring to steps and stairs. Some small-scale pieces require very complex tracing methods. In this article, we shall deal with an extreme example of this paradox. The door of the sacristy of the Junterón chape1 in Murcia cathedral, opened around 1612, barely allows the passage of a person; despite its narrow dimensions, it is covered by a piece related to the "Vis-de-Saint-Gilles," the mythical summit of mediaeval and Renaissance stonecutting, although it surpasses the latter in the difficulty of its tracing.
