Zusammenfassung:Manuel Millares (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, 1926-Madrid, 1972) was one of the Spanish artists who was a protagonist in the artistic panorama of renovation in Spain during the regime of Franco. He fostered the approach to international vanguard tendencies. His work deepened the possibility of the gesture, the letter, and the mark, generating a particular language in continuing renovation. He later approached a revision of these aspects, making the Canarian artist one of the main exponents of Spanish and European informalism.
