Zusammenfassung:Recent studies and policies on safety and error reduction in health care contrast sharply with the punitive model of law enforcement. The advanced practice registered nurse, as a professional and as a stakeholder, can be an effective advocate against movement by state prosecutors to treat health care errors as crimes. This is important in promoting patient safety and the general welfare of citizens, as well as protecting justice for health care professionals.
