Zusammenfassung:A simple technique for smoothing the distributions of time instants of shooting of two opponents in a silent duel is proposed. With a delay caused by the fact that the missile-flight time is finite, these distributions contain passive zones (i.e., time intervals where shooting makes no sense). In solving the problem by a linear programming method, there emerge false passive zones, which should be eliminated with the help of the smoothing algorithm proposed.[PUBLICATION ABSTRACT]
