Zusammenfassung: | This article describes the capabilities of steelmaking and rolling facilities that were rebuilt to make skelp which conforms to current standards. It is shown that the steel being used to make the skelp has a narrow chemical composition and a low content of nonmetallic inclusions. The article reports on the levels of production attained in using low-waste technologies to make K60-strength-rated skelp thicker than 16 mm and rolled plates that are resistant to cracking in media containing hydrogen sulfide. |
