Zusammenfassung: | Green glycosylation using ionic liquid to prepare alkyl glycosides for studying carbohydrate-protein interactions by surface plasmon resonance (SPR) was investigated. Different glycoconjugates were prepared in the presence of ionic liquids in order to carry out carbohydrate-protein interaction studies. The direct functionalization of carbohydrates with different linker chains was also carried out. Glycosylation using unprotected and unactivated donors was often preferable as it could reduce the number of steps, enhance reactivity, allow a different stereochemistry, and increase prospects for further process modifications. The results showed that despite the poor yields obtained, the decrease in the number of steps made it a green alternative to the traditional carbohydrate chemistry. |
