Melamine impairs spatial cognition and hippocampal synaptic plasticity by presynaptic inhibition of glutamatergic transmission in infant rats

Highlights ► An experimental melamine neurotoxic model of rats was establised. ► Behavior of rats in MWM test was impaired by melamine. ► In LTP test, the slope of fEPSP was altered in rats of melamine group. ► Melamine affected glutamatergic transmission in vitro experiment.
