Zusammenfassung:	Abstract The evidence regarding the association between schizophrenia and the fractions of bilirubin is mixed. In a retrospective case-control design we examined the association between total bilirubin, conjugated bilirubin, unconjugated bilirubin and schizophrenia. The relevance of our findings and that of the association of unconjugated bilirubin to schizophrenia is discussed.
