Zusammenfassung:Former football player Walter Payton retired as professional football's all-time leading rusher in 1998. It is believed that his career in the National Football League (NFL) was characterized by a well-organized and well-patterned routine. However, Payton also found himself being addicted to painkillers and nitrous oxide. There was a time when he had problems concentrating, and he was even anxious in the lead-up to the 1993 Hall of Fame induction ceremony. His post-retirement activities are also discussed.
