Zusammenfassung:	Macrolane™ is an injectable, biocompatible, soft-tissue filler that has been available in the UK since 2008 and is promoted for use in breast augmentation. There are few data available on the long-term effects of this relatively new product and concerns have been raised about the implications for breast imaging, in particular breast screening. In this context we present a spectrum of imaging appearances and complications encountered to date.
