Zusammenfassung:A tough nut: A new approach to making biomimetic nanocomposites, involving engineered proteins (see scheme; green and blue), reinforcing graphene sheets (purple), and nanofibrillated cellulose (gray), is presented. The aligned co‐assembly of these components leads to a composite with remarkably good mechanical properties, which potentially arises from the role of the adhesive matrix proteins.
