MicroRNA-122 sensitizes HCC cancer cells to adriamycin and vincristine through modulating expression of MDR and inducing cell cycle arrest

Highlights ► Overexpression of miR-122 by adenovirus rendered HCC cell sensitive to chemotherapy. ► Treatment with miR122 and chemotherapy resulted in high accumulation of cells in G2/M. ► miR-122 downregulated expression of MDR related genes, Bcl-w and cyclin B1.
