Zusammenfassung: | Over the last years, Experimental Psychology has established its position as an international journal for cutting-edge research in the various fields of experimental psychology. As indicated by a mean annual impact factor of 2.09 across the recent 5-year interval, the journal gained a high reputation in the scientific community. This achievement is particularly remarkable in the face of the journal’s short history in the international arena, given that 2011 is only the 10th year of Experimental Psychology as an international outlet. In January 2011, the new editorial team started with the commitment to build on the previous achievements and to extend the position of Experimental Psychology as a premier journal for experimental psychologists. I am delighted that many brilliant young researchers as well as distinguished senior scientists joined the new editorial team as associate editors or as consulting editors in the editorial board for the forthcoming editorial term 2011–2014. The cooperation of experienced editors and new members in the editorial team provides an excellent basis to meet the challenges of handling a high number of incoming submissions and keeping the turnaround time exceptionally short, while at the same time maintaining highest standards of the reviewing and decision process.
