Zusammenfassung:This study aims to improve the indoor air quality of newly-built apartment houses in Korea through the measurement and evaluation of formaldehyde (HCHO) and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) generated from building finishing materials at each construction stage. Small chamber tests were carried out for 12 kinds of low emission building finishing materials and 10 site measurements were conducted according to the construction stage. The study showed that the concentration of HCHO and VOCs could be controlled by the use of low emission building materials.
