Reflexiones sobre la empresa cultural del rey Don Sancho IV de Castilla

The culture of the last quarter of the 13th century, especially pertaining to King Sancho IV in the patronage of artistic works--both literary and architectural--have been examined. The tendencies of this period influenced the culture of the following century, especially intellectual movements influenced by the monarchy. The author examines two aspects of the culture of this period. He searches for signs of the kings artistic works in order to determine his patronage, and considers the ideological aspects of these works.
