Zusammenfassung: | [...]it can be argued that 'research' under Schedule I of the 2004 Act does not extend to include research on material removed for transplantation, which forms part of that overall process, is directed towards its successful outcome in the recipient and is thus exempt, with it, from the need for licensing. Since the present law, by failing to provide investigators with the necessary assurances of legality, both restricts ethical transplant research and inhibits service development, the logical course is to amend it. |
