Zusammenfassung: | During the subsequent 2 hours the patient received a total of 9 units of packed red blood cells, 8 units of fresh frozen plasma, 6 units of platelets, 2 ampules of calcium gluconate, and 6 L of normal saline solution. Etiologies include thoracic aortic aneurysm, foreign body ingestion, esophageal malignancy, and postoperative complications.1 Our patient's history of esophageal malignancy and esophageal stent placement 2 weeks earlier put him at high risk for this life-threatening condition. |
