Addenda to the 3rd volume of V. M. Illich-Svitych's "Comparative Dictionary of the Nostratic Languages"

The paper is the first in an intended series of publications of Nostratic etymologies that had originally been prepared for the 3rd volume of V. M. Illich-Svitych's "Comparative Dictionary of the Nostratic Languages" (1971-1984) but could not be included for technical reasons. Where necessary, we also provide information on how the proposed etymologies relate to more recent corpora for daughter branches of Nostratic (Uralic, Dravidian, Kartvelian, Afro-Asiatic), published after 1984, as well as to the independently prepared Nostratic Etymological Dictionary by Aharon Dolgopolsky.
