Zusammenfassung:	The results of complex treatment of 40 injured persons with severe thoracic trauma, in whom pulmonary abscesses and pleural empyema had occurred postoperatively, were analyzed. Complex treatment of pulmonary abscesses and pleural empyema, using the methods of a local superhighfrequency irradiation of purulent foci have promoted their accelerated regression occurrence and reduction of a systemic inflammatory reactions severity, as well as prophylaxis of secondary purulent-septic complications, permitting to achieve lethality lowering and to escape practically reoperations performance.
