Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To report the development of a delayed massive suprachoroidal hemorrhage after Descemet stripping automated endothelial keratoplasty (DSAEK). DESIGN:Retrospective case report. RESULTS:A 70-year-old woman with a failed graft for keratoconus underwent DSAEK in the setting of continued systemic anticoagulation. On the first postoperative day, she experienced a massive suprachoroidal hemorrhage. Despite surgical drainage, the donor graft subsequently failed, and vision declined to light perception. CONCLUSIONS:Massive suprachoroidal hemorrhage may occur as a rare complication of DSAEK.
