The university presented her with the coveted Distinguished Alumni Award in 1997. Sylvia comes to ADA's Presidency after serving as chair of ADA's Nominating Committee and as Speaker of the House of Delegates. She chaired the Standardized Language task force for the nutrition care process for the dietetics profession from 2002 to 2005, establishing terminology to be used in nutrition services internationally. |
