Zusammenfassung:The purpose of this report is to describe two cases of human rabies in Senegal that illustrate possible diagnostic and therapeutic pitfalls even in an endemic area. Although outcome is almost always fatal and interhuman transmission is uncommon, prompt diagnosis of rabies is important since delay increases the risk of exposure to the virus for the entourage.
