Zusammenfassung: | The region of Patnos with the important fortress of Anzavurtepe, the Urartian Aludiri, represents the most important junction on the route leading from Tuspa, via Ercis, towards the west1. One route goes west through the Bingöl mountains and the other north through Agri2. The remains of the western route can be seen in the province of Solhan3. The Urartian kings are known to have built structures along this route for various purposes and at different times. Two new building inscriptions have recently been found in the region of Patnos4. |
