Zusammenfassung:Static VAr Compensators (SVCs) can transform phase-to-phase loads into balanced three-phase loads. This paper shows that this function of SVCs is reversible; that is, SVCs can be used to supply power from a single-phase line to balanced three-phase loads. Those three-phase loads then show themselves to the single-phase line as single-phase loads with the desired power factor, even unity.
