The needs for men undergoing active surveillance (AS) for prostate cancer: results of a focus group study

Brief report on qualitative research in the USA exploring psychosocial and information needs of men over 65 years old undergoing active surveillance following a prostate cancer diagnosis. A content analysis was used to examine focus group findings on participants' sources of support and information, perceptions of vigilance, lifestyle changes and inaccurate beliefs about the disease and its monitoring.
