Zusammenfassung: | In this article, Lardiere responds to peer comments regarding her earlier article "Some Thoughts on the Contrastive Analysis of Features in Second Language Acquisition" (EJ831786). Lardiere acknowledges the reviewers' thoughtful contributions and expert expansion on various facets of the original article. While she states that it is clear from the range of different angles taken and views expressed that the commentators do not agree with each other, much less with her, in various respects, she feels that the cumulative impact of the comments provides a quite bracing impression of "stock-taking" that is good for the field. [These commentaries are published in "Second Language Research, v25 (2) April 2009.] (Contains 2 footnotes.) |
