A Concern-Related Energy and Environment Dictionary

A lexicographic project of ELSAMPROJEKT, a Danish engineering consultation firm, is described. Originating in informal lists of German, English, & Spanish equivalents of Danish terms relevant to specific foreign projects of the company, a tool called a concern dictionary is being developed on the firm's internal computer network; it consists of an index of entries, an easy search procedure, & a database where specialized lexicographic knowledge obtained in the course of the firm's activities is stored. Owing to budgetary restrictions, technical explanations are given only at the semi-expert level; the difference between terminology & specialized lexicon is ignored, & no specific technical or scientific field receives exhaustive lexicographic treatment. 10 References.
