Zusammenfassung: | The theme of this article will be treated in two parts. In the first part, we will go on a journey back in time in order to look at the development of juridical language, hence, have a diachronic look at juridical texts. In the second part, we will think about text genres & especially about the border line between fiction & special language texts. We will also discuss differences & similarities between a scientist & an artist in their thinking. My thesis is that scientific linguistic usage on the textual level reflects specialist thinking & that we can study this in legal texts synchronically by comparing them with other scientific texts & diachronically, eg, by comparing legal texts of different periods with one another. Different ages have different styles of thought. Scientific texts are excellent & sometimes very marked examples of iconism on the textual level. 15 References. Adapted from the source document |
