Zusammenfassung: | The present paper intends to show that the combination of a verb & an adjective within the same predicate is subject to a delicate equilibrium. On the one hand, some important groups of verbs - such as the inherently directed motion verbs or the "phase" verbs - undergo a copularization process which turns them into grammatical elements. On the other hand, adjectives develop adverbial interpretations. In both cases, the aspectual characteristics of the components involved prove to be decisive. 27 References.
