Zusammenfassung: | Literacy & postliteracy programs in China are the responsibility of various educational bodies & are implemented by different organizations, such as the Adult Education Authorities. The administering of such programs & the aid given to peasant education are described, & the work of other bodies, such as Education Commissions for Staff & Workers, & Education Commissions for Workers & Peasants, in coordinating these programs is explained. However, the most widely used form of adult education occurs in the form of spare-time education, eg, night schools, spare-time schools, radio & TV schools, & correspondence schools. The importance, success, & administration of such courses are described. A. Sturrock |
