Zusammenfassung:This study compares stuttering in two different languages in the same speaker in sixteen bilingual stutterers from Anambra State, Nigeria. Both spontaneous speech and reading aloud were analyzed, and further information was obtained through a case history and questionnaire. It was found that almost all stutterers believed they stuttered more in one language than the other, and this way confirmed by the data. Linguistic and socio-cultural factors are discussed in relation to these findings.
