Zusammenfassung: | No satisfactory analysis has been given of Wittgenstein's private language argument. Interpretations given by J. J. Thomson (See "Private Language" American Philosophical Quarterly 1964, page references to reprinting in Hampshire, Stuart Philosophy of Mind.) & A. Kenny (In Wittgenstein Chapter 10) are shown to be as applicable to public languages as to private languages.
