Zusammenfassung:Stutterers and normal speakers were compared in their ability to translate slurvian (words combined, usually in an unsyntactical manner, and a rejuncturing produces normal syntax, different words, and clear meaning). Two translation tasks of differing levels of difficulty were administered. On the less difficult task, the stutterers produced significantly more errors. Results are discussed in relation to cognitive processing skills of stutterers, heterogeneity of stuttering, and implications of experimental tasks on outcomes.
