Zusammenfassung: | The role of the lang specialist in teaching reading is examined. The lang specialist can enhance the development of functional written communication by using written messages in instruction. Learning to communicate meaning clearly to a specific audience in oral lang can also be transferred to written lang skills. The use of context to predict meaning is also appropriate in both oral & written lang teaching. An integrated approach is outlined based on a sample lesson involving a newspaper, which provides activities for reading, writing, & oral expression. 32 References. B. Annesser Murray |
