Zusammenfassung: | An evaluation of a method for improving naming performance in Ss who are long-term global aphasics (N = 5) in an intensive treatment program. Stimuli in the so-called compound-N-stimulation treatment method were 30 compound Ns, 30 simple Ns that rhymed with the second components of the compounds, 30 simple Ns used in a nonrhyming stimulation method, & 30 simple Ns rhyming with the stimuli used in this second method. Ss were shown line drawings & asked to name them, either following a cue, or following naming of the picture by the therapist. The method was used for therapy during two four-week phases. Results show that the compound-N-stimulation method produces significant positive effects in patients with chronic global aphasia. 2 References. B. Annesser Murray |
