Group Hunting by Immature Bald Eagles Directed at Gulls

Bald Eagles (Haliaeetus leucocephalus) are versatile predators capable of capturing a wide range of prey (Buehler 2000). Among the techniques used by Bald Eagles to capture large birds are direct aerial pursuit and swoops to the water's surface timed to coincide with surfacing of a diving duck or waterbird.
